Somerdale Sells Out 'Down Under'
Somerdale International’s Il Truffelino Cheddar and Barbers 1833 Vintage Reserve Cheddar were two of the stars of the Melbourne Good Food & Wine Show held 3-5 June. Both sold out on the Somerdale stand well before the end of the Show which saw over 20,000 enthusiastic ‘Aussie foodies’ looking to discover the very best in food and drink.
- Barber’s 1833
Farmhouse Cheddar is made in Somerset, England 13 miles from the village of
Cheddar itself and protected under the PDO certification. A two-year Vintage Reserve Cheddar, 1833 is a
creamy cheese with a distinct bite and smooth finish. The Barber family have
been making Cheddar since 1833, which makes them the oldest cheese making
family in England and one of the oldest Cheddar producers in the World!
- Developed exclusively for Somerdale, Il Truffelino combines the creamy texture of Classic English Cheddar with the complex and luxuriant flavour of Black Summer Truffle.
Both cheeses will be available across Australia from July in the
stores of leading Australian supermarket chain Woolworths.
