Cheese of the month
July’s Cheese of the Month is 1776 Aged Cheddar.
We caught up with Jim to find out what he’s been enjoying lately, and with Independence Day almost here, his choice couldn’t be more fitting.
This July 4th marks the 250th anniversary of the United States, and our 1776 Aged Cheddar was created to help celebrate this milestone.
“1776 Aged Cheddar has to be my choice this month. This year makes it even more special as the U.S. celebrates its 250th anniversary. Whether it’s the large truckle taking center stage or the 1776 star-shaped cheeses on your cheeseboard, it’s made for celebrations like this. It’s a beautifully matured cheddar with plenty of flavor, and I think it’s the perfect cheese to share this Independence Day.”

At the heart of everything we do are the brilliant British and Irish producers we’re proud to work with — many of them family-run farms and dairies with generations of cheesemaking expertise. From traditional creameries in Somerset to artisan makers in Wales and beyond, these are the people bringing world-class cheese to life.
